What People Are Saying About Diverted Buses!

Well, from I can hear and see everyone is shocked about what has happened and what is happening!

From a community leader (other than myself) that advised it was told it was a ganga of twenty or so youths that hang around the Emerton area, with little or nothing to do! Also we have an eyesore and  a shopping Centre that lost its appeal to the public, that is 'Eemerton Shopping Centre'. Approaches need to be made to the  owners of the shopping Centre  to see if they would look at revamping it, so it would be appealing  to every one's needs. Yes it may need to be upgraded and beautified.

Another community member I met on the bus yesterday (knows my children from younger years) suggested that communities should walked around in numbers at night and  ensure safety around the streets - this comes to  low policing around the area - we have approximately 181 police officers in Mount Druitt. This is not all on one time - you have to remember there is annual leave and different rosters for police to work - so you can imagine what amount of police protection we have - I personally think we should have at least 500 police officers based in Mount Druitt- just an opinion!

Yet coming to Wednesday night - night after the Tuesday night incident where the bus driver was on knife edge, police officers were on buses going into and out of Mount Druitt. So I thank the New South Wales Police Force to provide the community protection that is needed on Wednesday night. What I would like to say we need this protection every night and more patrolling in and out of Emerton to prevent these anti social behaviours.

Another young man suggested that these people must pay for the crime they have done to place the Emerton and mount Druitt community in disarray with public transport.

The Good news is that  from the driver told me tonight the cameras may have caught the criminal and if the main cam,era didn't catch the criminal then there are three other cameras- so let's hope these criminals are found and then we can have the transport go back to is proper way!
