755 Bus Service Mount Druitt - Brief History


Here is short/brief history of the  755 bus service: you can see it has been cut and changed since its original operation commenced.We'll place other blogs on other services in and out of Mount Druitt.

Route 755
BLACKTOWN – SHALVEY – MT DRUITT
October 1982:  Renumbered from part of 70 [1925 number].  Ran through Mt Druitt in a loop from Rooty Hill Rd via Jersey Rd, Carlisle Ave, Luxford, Bougainville, Jersey, Popondetta & Luxford Rds, Bulolo Dr, Belmore & Woodstock Aves to Rooty Hill Rd.  Operated by Rowe’s Bus Service.
11 September 1988:  Rerouted to Mt Druitt Station (instead of around loop above) via 763.
June 1989:  Operator’s name changed to Busways Blacktown (Rowe family).
5 December 1992:  763 journeys (which had effectively become short-workings of 755 since 11/9/88) renumbered 755.  Late night trips run as combined 755/762.
11 October 2009:  Ceased as a result of MoT review of Region 1 - replaced by parts of new 750 & 758 and existing 754.
MT DRUITT – SHALVEY – PLUMPTON
1 March 2010:  Shorter version of previous 755 re-introduced by Busways Blacktown (Rowe family).
