Destination Announcements Required On City Rail Trains - Mount Druitt Commuter!

Met a recently new resident of Mount  Druitt Commuter Jaspreet, who is a hard-working Transport Officer working in the inner city of Sydney.

Jaspreet has issues with not many train announcements advising you of  nearing strain stations while travelling towards your own destination.  What I thought was kind-nature of Jaspreet, he wasn't just thinking of himself, he was thinking of the blind or vision impaired commuters! Good on you!

He claims Transport for New South Wales and City Rail can download an application that can be referred to train drivers and they can press  the button for the nearing train station and then it is relayed to the public announcement system on all the train carriages. Some guards speaking though the PA may not be heard, this system would  make commuters hear their proper announcements!

Metro Buses have GPS systems that announces when a bus tops street name destination is arriving and Bus Stop numbers are just used for Real Time! This similar system should be introduced to City Rail Trains.
