The list grows and grows , the people that I speak to that are free-willing to provide their own thought and compassion suggestions on public transport improvement or even be honest and be currently happy with what they are doing and not needing improvements.
Analyn from Mount Druitt, travels by City Rail train from Mount Druitt train station to Parramatta and sometimes to Strathfield train stations and normally catches the 6.45am knowingly called to her friends as 'The Freezing Express' in winter.
As I spoke to her yesterday, she told me is it mostly a cold air-conditioned carriage as you enter and it seemed like all they need to do is turn on the heating from the commencement of the trip. By the time the train reaches Mount Druitt it should be warm and comfortable by 6.45m arrival.
Analyn would also like NSW for Transport to provided bpiublic education of commuters leaving rubbish , especially going home time on Friday night after 7pm - she has never seen cleaners on the train - until we spoke ( photo provided).
People travelling on the Western Line know that we have the dirtiest trains yet around Campbelltown on the Cumberline line are cleaner and newer. she suggest more cleaners should be put on to regularly clean the trains all the time, for better commuter comfort and cleanliness.
And here is one that Analyn has my whole-hearted support, Commuters from the West of Blacktown in Zone 3 have to pay 3 zones for only reaching 2 zoned destination - in Weekly My-Multi tickets. This is where the same charging of fares should be from within the one zone or two zone no mater which direction you are going from and to. Her weekly ticket is current $60 per week. $10 per week, per commuter should be allocated by City Rail in improvements on the Western Line.
